One of my biggest fights in life has been a constant battle with depression. Fitness is the one thing that has helped me cope with depression. However, that was always short-lived, because I was ignoring the inner work. I was not focusing much on nutrition, or even confronting my past trauma in a healthy way.

What I have come to learn is that what you put into your body affects your mental health. Not only do we have one brain, we have two; one is in our head and the other is in our gut connected by a complex system of nerves, hormones, and neurotransmitters called the Gut-Brain Axis (GBX). Our mental wellness needs can be addressed through nutrition and other natural methods.

I came across Amare about three years ago when I was going through another phase of depression. After three weeks of consistently taking the products, I noticed a significant difference in my mood and energy. I felt happier and more motivated. I knew this was something I had to introduce to my clients, so I proudly became a wellness partner to introduce and educate the importance of mental wellness and gut health.

Amare is a mental wellness company that is aligned with my values of building a company with love and compassion and helping many overcome mental struggles.

Hi, I'm Nathalie.

This is My Story.

My fitness and healing journey started shortly after I decided to walk away from an abusive relationship.

I was a young, single mom with a three-year-old and six-month-old. I was fed up with the mental, psychological, and emotional abuse from my abuser. I was scared, had no money, and felt so alone. The abuse drove me to a point where I felt that my life was not worth living. I spent years with suicidal thoughts, until one day, I actually attempted it.

My kids gave me the strength to keep going. I knew they needed me and that it was my duty as a mother to stay resilient and keep living. They are my biggest "Why." As they are now practically adults, my "Why" has become the women struggling to feel worthy and gain confidence from within. I lived it, but instead of dwelling on my past experiences, I made it my purpose in life to help other women overcome their mental blocks from claiming the life they truly deserve.

As a young child, I also witnessed domestic violence in the home. It was the hardest thing to witness as a child. At times, I felt that I allowed abuse in my adult life because of what I saw growing up.

When my kids got a little older, I decided to pursue a career in law enforcement. I took that path because I saw it as a chance to protect other women from domestic violence and to be a role model for my boys. It wasn’t a career I stayed in for very long because with time, I felt a part of it was not aligned with my values and I knew my mental and physical health was only going to deteriorate with time.

Fitness saved my life and became a passion of mine. Today, I strive to teach women to live a sustainable healthy and lifestyle, how to free themselves from financial burdens, and to live a fulfilling life where their lifestyle and work are aligned.

I created N;Active to make an impact in the lives of many incredible women and help them break free from their trauma. Making fitness a part of my lifestyle helped me overcome several obstacles in my life, so I became a Personal Trainer to guide others in their fitness journies and help them overcome mental barriers keeping them from reaching their goals.
